Hello Kerry. I bought a Chieftain V5 tuneable about 4 years ago. I found I could not get it up to pitch to play with other instruments even when warmed up. By the time I decided it was not possible I felt the time to return it has passed. In the past week I decided to have a go at re-engineering it by reducing material at both ends of the main body. It was playing the low and upper D at flatter that minus 30centiles. I have got it up to within 5centitles now. When warmed up it's within 3 centiles and with extra puff approximately on target.
