Six years ago I made a documentary about Tibetan Singing Bowls. I first encountered these intruments back in 1990. Alaine Presencer was an aquaintance who introduced me to these bowls and later the next year I began a journey working with them around the world. I now have a large collection of them. This film is an introduction into another realm of music, Alaine gives an interesting account of his time with them and shares some stories of his time in Tibet. I know this is a departure from all things whistle but the intro music IS played on a Jon Swaine ebony low D.
